2006 nissan xtrail 2.2 dci T30 - oil in the radiator - migw45

hi i went to work drove 34 miles engine was running great tempriture every thing was spot on when i got out of the car i noticed oil driping on the floor so after some nvestigation i found there was very little oil in the engine as it had went into the radiator and coolant bottle has any one got any ideas thanks migw45

Looks like the engine has an oil/water heat exchanger that is leaking oil into the coolant.

Quite likely. The worse scenario would be the head gasket.

Check the intercooler, sounds like it has internally gone futt.

The intercooler cools the incoming air, they can leak a little oil if the crimped type is fitted, but this would normally have been replaced under warranty for an uprated version that does not leak.

Oil cooler i thought was air cooled, so i would get the headgasket checked.

Some comments here, i would ignore some of them, but others are useful.
