astra mk4 - orange warning light - car crazy lady

i have a orange rectangle light with a star in the middle constantly on, on the dashboard.

if i turn the ignition on without the engine running and i turn ignition off the fan runs for about a minute does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it please ?
