Laid-up car insurance

Laid-up car insurance - Ed
I want to store my car in a friend's garage for the summer whilst working abroad (and will declare SORN). My current insurance policy won't cover this, and I don't want the expense of getting another standard policy (i.e. including third party cover), which seems to be the only option from major insurers.

Does anyone know where I can get say 6 month fire and theft only cover. Something like the kind of thing that seems to be available for classic cars, but for a 3 year old car.

Try Footman James - they are Classic Car peeps but I'm sure they'll do a laid up policy for you. Their No. is 0121 561 4196.

There's also a Company in Hinckley - I'll get their No for you.....
