Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec, 2007 - Replacement alloys - argybargy

Hi Folks

Just wondering whether anyone could point me in the direction of an online supplier of decent quality alloy wheels? Need a 16 inch five stud, five spoke wheel for my 2007 Ford Focus. I'm going down this route because I don't entirely trust the auction sites to provide me with something which is more round than square.

Thanks.

if you're looking for a single wheel matching the ones you have already, you've only got two realistic choices - used from Ebay - new from your Ford dealer, as above.

Breakers?Tho' be careful-I had problems with uneven braking-turned out one of my Cortina wheels was a Capri wheel.Same design-half inch different offset.

I think breakers often use Ebay for things like that.

Why not go to a salvage yard yourself, That way you can inspect the wheel before you stump up the cash and if it is not what you want you can always leave it there.

Last time I needed a wheel I spent ages hunting around for one and did a 50 mile trip to a specialist who claimed to have one but, It was wrong when I got there.

In the end I bought a new one from the local dealer for a shade under £50.

One of my alloys is quite badly scuffed and probably beyond refurbishment at a price that wouldn't make it worthwhile buying a new wheel, and I'm hoping to source a replacement fairly cheaply because I might be selling the car soon. Still, there's the option of going to Ford and paying full whack for a new wheel if I decide to keep it.

Not sure I'd trust myself to come away from a breaker's yard with a decent wheel that doesn't need banging back into shape before I can put a tyre on it, but that's an alternative I might still consider.

I'll have a think about it, cheers.

I have ford titanium 18 inch wheels for sale, if you are fussy then they will need a slight refurb but minor scratches really. And they will need tyres.

Tyres-pnues are quite cheap, better than wheelbase alloys I think. I got 2 alloys from then cheap to replace a pothole damaged one recently.
