I think the only answer is to get a good long test drive in each of turbo and non-turbo (I agree, go for petrol unless your annual mileage is very high). The non-turbo petrol and the diesel are both about £15,000 cheaper then the turbo, so the latter will have to be something very special to make it worth the extra. But the 3.0 is surely worth the £3,000 extra over the 2.0.
On British roads the non-turbo S should be everything you need. If and when you get it, do come back to us and give us your impressions.
