Since you mention 'class 2 HGV', I assume you took the HGV test before the category changes in the 1970's? [Rigid goods vehicle, more than two axles]
You need to look at your driving licence. [card, or green paper one]
You may find your Cat C [LGV] entitlement is 'provisional' only, now. [Same with C+E}
To acquire your C [& C+E?] licence [LGV] you will need to take the Cat C driving test, preceeded by the Theory test.
Once you have passed these, then you need to acquire your CPC, to drive a commercial vehicle.
