3dr Hatchback, Passenger slide the seats too fast/hard,will it damage the seat Mechanism?

I have a 3dr hatchback and my passenger moved the front passenger seat forward fast/hard which made a fast movement noise until it went as far as it can go and then bounced back.

I am worried if it can damage the seat mechanism of the car.

Very possibly, yes. It has probably ripped the seat bolts out of the floor and damaged the floor pan and chassis.I guess it is now going to need a new bodyshell.Your warranty will not cover this ,so it is game over.

Probably caused the leaves/twigs to impact the front bumper with such force to set off the airbags.

Did you notice some large balloon type objects?

Its a tin box on wheels, don`t worry about it, the people in it are more important

I agree with a/c doc,

this has caused major chassis damage and the only way to fix it is a new body shell.

You can tell when the shell needs replacing by the car not handling correctly, eg, when parking, it will overrun and hit bushes / shrubs etc and cause scratches to the bumper and bonnet. Then there's the problem with 3 point turns : a weakened shell will cause the wheels to impact the kerb at any speed between 3 and 5 mph which as we all know, is caused by the excessive flex in the structure of the car.

The best way to check if the shell needs replacing though is to check if the car seems to find, and hit, even the smallest pothole ? If this has happened then it's time to either re-shell or just sell it and get a bus pass !!!!

I like to take care of my assets after spending quite amount of cash on purchasing this car, I would want to last as long as it can.

I had to even had a word with the passenger about it.

In that case,I think you need to find a different passenger.

Well its a family member so I don't actually know.

You had a passenger ? I find it hard to believe that you could find anyone to ride shotgun with a driver as neurotic as you !

If you want your 'asset' to last as long as possible I suggest you never drive it again in case another catastrophic event occurs. Soon there'll be frost and possibly snow around and I'd be worried for you in case any of it should get anywhere near your highly prized possession.

No, it's best you dry store it or better still, have it cryogenically frozen so no nasty elements, bushes, kerbs, potholes or passengers can damage it.

Why the need for the abusive responses? You may thing the OP is worrying unduly but surely that doesn't call for this reaction. I can well imagine that a, possibly rather large, person slamming the seat back could bend the odd bracket or strip a thread.

The responses seem quite reasonable, the OP clearly either has some kind of OCD or keeps posting ridiculous questions as a humorous pastime.

If he has these kind of worries about other aspects of life a consultation with his GP would seem advisable

If genuinely concerned about these issues he should pester the dealer that sold him this fragile and precious artefact instead of wasting time inviting ironic posts on here.

Ah, I see - not noted the previous post of killer bushes or vengeful kerbs.
