Hi All,

need a bit of advice, I have a 52 plate fiesta 1.25L. 2 months ago it was over heating regularly so I put some K Seal in the Radiatior coolant which resolved the issue. however now there is steam and a hissing noise coming from the radiator coolant screwcap. There is also the same steam coming from the back of the engine cover and a grim smell. The car isn't overheating though

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Last fezbomb I worked on required a new HCV but yours sounds like a head gasket issue.Remember that water temp gauge will give a false reading if sender unit is not immersed in coolant mix.

Look for leaking hoses.....is the smell the sickly sweet antifreeze type or other?
