97 jeep cherokee sports 4 lte petrol - Fuel imobilizer problem - Ruseter

My Daughter bought it from her friend with 2 computers. The original computer in and all the dash gauges work and the car starts but stops after a few seconds,Obviously the fuel imobilizer.Then i connect the second computer which her friend bought trying to fix the problem and the car starts and runs fine but none of the gauges work and my daughter is constinately running out of fuel.The alarm light on the dash is constinately on.Could you please tell me how i can fix this problem either by disconecting or by-passing the alarm system or the imobilizer or both completely but with the gauges working.I do not know if it is the UK System or the USA version as we live in Australia

UK spec jeeps can be fitted with an aftermarket immobiliser system specifically custom made by a uk company for Jeep.Cars destined for the Aus market may have a completely different system.As to whether it can removed or by passed would need the help of an electrical techie.
