Rover 25 - slight judder from pedal when applying foot brake - Delysher

It feels like a slght juddering from pedal when braking.

Never happens first thing in morning or later in evening.

It seems to only happen when driving car later in the day around mid day, when it has been hotter in past week or so

I had new pads fitted on front wheels 7 weeks ago and only just having this problem in the last week. Could the new disc pads be sticking ?
I am aware the shoes on back wheeels need replacing as theyb are low, could it be that reason ?

Telephonerd 2 garages and they just want me to leave the car with them. Not happy to just do that as they do not know what the problem is ?

Err? Of course the garages don't know what the problem is - they haven't been able to look at the car to effect a diagnosis. Sorry, but that much should be blindingly obvious.

there are several possibilities for the fault, so you are going to have to give the car to a garage to investigate.

I have a rover 25 with brake problems which has been fixed. The brake pedal would vibrate randomly when I applied the brakes and their would be a loud thumping noise as if the abs has been activated.
I replaced the cv joint on front wheels as the abs reluctor rings had split.

Best advice get kwik fit to do their free brake test. Most important is make sure they lift the car up, I was given abs ring split as potential advice from someone on this forum. When they lifted the car up , they did not find anything wrong, while the car was lifted I checked the abs rings myself and saw the split with a gap and told them if this was normal and whether it was causing the problem. They agreed. I changed it and so far no problems.
