I have a Fiat Scudo 1600cc petrol injection vehicle (1997) when I bought it four months ago
it ran very smoothly then about a month ago it developed a problem. In that when ever I start
to accellerate it “Jerks” qite badly at times however once the vehicle gets up to a reasonable speed
and I increase the speed slowly there is not a problem and the vehicle runs very smoothly.
I have replaced the Air filter / fuel filter / plugs and the plug leads to no avail. I also had a diagnostic check done but it was not conclusive. I was told that it seemed there was a conflict between the Lamdar sensor and the fuel injection information to the computer and at low revs too much fuel was being injected and therefore the computer stopped the fuel flow!!!!
I was advised that using a good fuel additive to clean the injector an also use 85 octain may cre the problem.
I have considered that the Lamdar sensor may be the cause but at approx £150 that's a lot to spend on a speculative guess.
Can any one suggest the cause and the cure?
Thanks, in advance, Woodie
