....and our skilled unsung heroes in the NHS
Pics of the result of a rather nasty accident involving a driver and his steering wheel. The car was ratehr \'flat-nosed\' following this.
Please don\'t view if you are squeamish, afraid of blood or currently eating, OK?
The pics were all submitted by the person pictured, on the table.

I\'ll leave this here because I think its important. However, I have changed the link so that it won\'t work automatically, you will have to cut and paste it to your browser and I would emphasise the warning that Dave gave to the squeamish etc. Mark.

Ugh! Luckily am still awaiting dinner - it was the second pic that really got me! Remarkable though that they managed to practically rip half his face off and then just sew it back together again - seeing the pic with the stitches you would never imagine the intricacies of the operation. Amazing.

Can't say a lot more because it would veer wildly off-topic - but it's good to see there are some surgeons out there still able/willing to do a good job!

I can't believe that some people question the safety of airbags. I feel much safer knowing that in a hard smash I'll have a huge pillow in front of my face, not so good for my passengers, but then they don't have peddles to mangle their lower legs...

Don't worry, Blue. Improved crash protection for the legs is now enshrined in US law and will make it into Euro cars eventually.
