When your yellow oil level warning sensor light comes on and it is intermittant do what I did'nt.
Long story, changed oil sensor when we did oil change, what I didn't know was independant mechanic used after market one. Worked ok with even more intermittant problems, ie. bleeped at me when temperature got to a certain level and then stayed on. Completely different to my original symptoms.
As this sensor is located under the car and covered by splash/wind guard, I could not easily see what part number mechanic had used. So problem bugged me for quite a while. I kept on thinking it was a ECU fault or bad wiring connection.
Finally got fed up with it and we took the under cover off and read the part number 24380 Febi Bilstein! Googled it and found quite a few problems with them.
Orininal Hella part number 1J0907660
Replacement I used part number 24380 (Febi Bilstein)
Finaly new Hella 1J0907660B
Sometimes it just does not pay to get cheaper after market electrics, as I've now found out. :)
