Thank you so much - it worked! Before I had the clutch done, the radio was playing up and I was just playing cassettes in the car. The radio just keeps petering away. Any suggestions as to what is wrong with it?

Could be an aerial problem.The only real test would be to plug in a donor aerial to the socket at the back of the radio,if there is still no good reception then the radio is duff.Time to upgrade to a radio/cd.
