Xantia 1997 - Xantia keypad - how to remove? - Joselial

It is supposed to be an easy way to disable the keypad by unplugging the cable.

I have tried the idea, but I cannot get in to the cable connection, because the keypad is

resisting its removal. I can get it a halfway open but then something is resisting. Could be a too short cable or whatever. If I try by force, I think I am braking something essential.

Any ideas how to get it open?

You may have to release the centre console panel to access the wiring plug at the rear of immobilser pad.Remember it is only possible to delete the key pad immob function by disconnecting the plug with the engine running.hth

I understood it is enough to remove only the actual panel where you tap the code in order to reach the wiring plug.

If you have to remove the whole center console, then it is a considerable bigger job to do.

Could someone please tell me which is a correct way to do it.
