Your mileage is close to the time a DPF reaches the end of it's life.
Although cleaning will do a little bit short term, its no substitute for replacing a tired or worn out part.
If its doing short trips that won't help the DPF either, the engine needs a good run to regenerate smoothly and effectively.
It would be interesting to know how the former keeper drove the vehicle, as that could have made the DPF components life a little shorter if it was also used for short trips.
I know its anecdotal but in the Pug community I know of car owners who've managed to get 100,000 miles out of their DPF with the car being used only on the motorway, and then people who've got less than 50,000 because its used as a town runabout.
