Mitsubishi Colt CZ2 1.3 2009 - Gearbox oil change - probn46

My car suffers from the notchy gear change problem that seems common with Colts. Mitsubishi recommend 75/90 semi-synthetic oil for the box. However I note from an old post you recommend switching to something like Redline MTL or GM Synthetic to improve this. Is there likely to be any gearbox problems associated with switching from semi-synthetic to synthetic provided I stick to a 75/90 oil such as Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle?

You MUSt check the detailed Spec recommnded. API GL-4 or GL-5.

Get the wrong one and you may get internal corrosion of bronze parts
