Ford Focus - Ford focus, intermittently judders and loses power - Vp102

Ford focus, intermittently judders and loses power. Usually after about fifty miles. Have replace fuel filter and pump. Drives fine for ages then shudders a bit. Then a mile or so on, just loses power over about thirty seconds. Mechanic says when he changed the filter, but before changed the pump, it did it all the time and wouldn't start properly. What can it be?!

You need to get the ecu engine codes read. Replacing bits without error codes is more like pot luck. Sounds more like a coil packs issue failing when hot, rather than a fuel filter.
