Quiite clearly whoever wrote this piece knows nothing about cars. If they did they would know 1.5 million Metros were not produced between 1980 and 1981.

I had a Metro GTi which was a really good car to drive. Only sold it because I could not get insurance for my daughter to learn to drive in it! As for the Rover SD1, that really was a classic designed with a front end to look a bit like a Ferrari Daytona.

You can stil buy SD1's - They are called the BMW 5 series GT........
