Ford 1.6 Zetec 2009 - Radio isues - Paul George

Hi Guys, First time in doing somthing like this so hope i'm in the right place.

I have an 09 focus and the stereo kept going into phone mode, I was advised to remove the fuse 112 and wait 5 mins before replacing it, which I did.

It's now asking for the code, the one on a sticker in my radio guide book says ..Key Code 8796 I have tried this with no luck, so the little sicker in my book is usless.

Any ideas please???

Looks like you have the wrong code.You need to get the serial number from the radio which may be displayed if you press buttons 2 and 6 together.It should read V and 6 digits.If that does not work,then the radio will need to be removed from the dash to get the serial #.

Morning all, I have tried the 2 & 6 number thing with no joy, it tries to enter the number 2 as part of the code. I will try and get the serial number of the radio as soon as i work out how to remove it from the dash. If anyone knows how to remove a ford 6000CD radio i would be greatfull.

Hi again, Ok got my stero out and the serial number is V291692 would anyone here be able to help with the code please been on a few websites but they all want to charge me for the service at £25 + what a rip off.

any help would be greatful

Nobody will give you a "V" code for free, I'm afraid. The code generator that people on here use won't do them, it only does "M"

However, if you go on Ebay there are many sellers who claim they can do them.

Thanks for all your help and quick response to my issues, I think you guys that help each other out is great, thats how it should be if everyone helped each other the would would be a better place.

some people just get greedy and wont do anything for nothing, Keep up the good work.

Only sorry you couldn't help me with my issue, I'm going to have to take a gamble and pay for somthing that might not work, and be one of those sorry people that get ripped off while making others a few quid.
