Ford Fiesta R reg - Immobiliser reset sequence - dwr2011
R reg without remote keys.

I don't have the books for this car I have inherited.

Used the second key which I now suspect had not been sync'd and the car won't start. All the lights are on but nothing else. I had this problem before on my old mondeo so I know there is a sequence but without the book I'm stuck. Anyone have the book or ideas on how to unlock it. I have a week before its going to be towed away police say.

There is no reset function for the immobiliser system on these.It either works or not.When you turn the ignition on,there should be a small red led light next to the clock.This should illuminate for approx 5 secs and then go out.If it does ,then I would assume the immob function is ok.If it stays lit,or flashes continously,then you have a problem with the immobiliser and/or the keys.hth

The light flashes all the time

It only started when I used the second key for the first time

I can't get the car to fords so I really need an alternative

If you use an unprogrammed key to start the car,the system will lock out for around 5 mins.Try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and re-try with the original first key.
