Looking at the new Lexus IS 2013, the IS250.

Lexus UK advertise it OTR base price, no extras £26495

Lexus Manhattan N.Y. MSRP base price, no extras $35,065

Converting it to sterling it's roughly £22357.

So why don't Lexus sell it for the same price here. Because they know we're mugs and the gravy train choo choos along without any opposition.

US price is base price to which the LOCAL SALES TAX (& Del charge) will be added @ invoice time.

UK List Price will include VAT & Delivery

On the whole however Car US Price in $XXXX = Car UK price in £XXXX

Applies also to many other items - PCs, Phones, electronics
