Is the plastic petrol tank a direct replacement for the metal one fitted to this vehicle as a friend has a leaking metal tank on her Amica but has been told that a plastic tank is more expensive to fit due to extra parts needed. The garage did not say what the extra parts are, but told her that they could not do a repair to the metal tank as the leak is too near to the fuel outlet pipe.
