Audi Q3 - Has Audi Q3 been built on the MQB platform - Dude - {P}

I am considering buyin a new Audi Q3 , but need to know if it is based on the MQB platform as it was launched in either 2011 or early 2012.

I woiuld appreciate if someone knows the answer to my query.

Quick google search seems to suggest 'no' - plenty of threads saying the Q3 will be getting the MQB platform at some point in the future.
