Seat Exeo ST - Sound advice freely given - thanks HJ - EtheB

Just wanted to say a really big thank you to HJ for the really excellent advice he gavce me when I needed to purchase a second-hand estate car and was tempted to go for a 4-5 year old Audi A4 Avant.

His general advice was, and I paraphrase here - 'if you're not too bothered about having the status symbol four rings on your radiator grill, go get a Seat Exeo ST'.

Well, he was absolutely spot-on. Got my Exeo (picked it up from Evans Halshaw Middlebrough the day I arrived back in the UK from NZ - great people and excellent service!) ST and have now covered some 5,000 miles or so and love it to bits!

Thanks Honest John!

Hi EtheB, The Exeo is a great car. I have had one for 37 months. 2.0 TDI SE 143. Covered 93,000 miles. It was brand new when I had it. Interior has stood up to the miles, and still looks new. Enjoy!

I'm assuming that since you do over 30k a year it's mainly motorway driving?

what sort of MPG do you get brim to brim?

Hi balleballe, yes my Exeo lives mainly on the motorway. MPG can vary depending on how it is driven. Average motorway miles is 50-55 mpg although on one trip from Birmingham to Dartford and back I managed 62 mpg but I did drive very frugally. Average brim to brim about 45. Hope this helps.
