Peugeot 307CC - Rear brake caliper rewind tool - paul_pompey

I am looking to busy a rear brake caliper rewind tool for my Peugeot 307cc 2004 model , I see there are right and left handed ones.

Does anyone know if the threads are right or left handed ?

Some are left, some are right. Tried consulting your Haynes?

I bought a universal set with both types for about 30 quid. Or buy a Pug specific tool, it'll be correct for the car then.

Yes i bought a universal set too about the same price as Cyd's, after the first use its paid for itself, comes with a set of adapters to fit most cars so fairly futureproof, reversible for left hand thread IIRC, worth having.

You can wind them back with wide narrow water pump style pliers, but its a bit haphazard and the pliers will slip, causing you to pinch your skin and bash your knuckles and then teach the neighbours children an alternative vocabulary, if really unlucky you'll rip the caliper dust cover..:-)
