Citroen C1 2011 - Is the clutch going? - penguin

Hi my son has a Citroen c1 2011, it has a high bite point and my husband put it in 4th gear the other day. ( It was parked on drive) And took his foot off the clutch and the car didn't stall. Hubby said he thinks clutch is on its way. Any thoughts appreciated ??

Thanks Julie

May be possible to adjust it but I'd say new clutch.

It’s hydraulic operation, so unlikely to be any adjustment. Very much sounds like the clutch is worn out. Not expensive on these .

Mileage ? If it's much over 100K on the clock, a worn clutch is quite possible, depending on how previous owners have treated it.

Thanks all. It's done just over 100k, my son has had it for just over 2 years, and a friend owned it before for quite a few years.

Is it the 3 part clutch kit he needs?

3 piece clutch kit from someone like Luk , about £90 .

Clutches are weak on these, but they’re cheap to do and any garage can do it. As already said it’s circa £90/£100 for a clutch plus Labour to fit it. Not the end of the world.
