That isn't the only Polo which doesn't have a review. The Polo has been around since 1975 and the one you are thinking about is the 4th generation!
But I'm really not sure how useful a review would be in deciding whether to buy a 20+ year old car?. Condition and MOT history are the things which are important, and the fact that it has been family owned since new. 1.4 petrol best overall for reliability, but under the circumstances I wouldn't turn my nose up at any others assuming price, condition/MOT history isn't off-putting.
Just had a look and while you are correct in "yours" being missing (3rd gen is there), bear in mind the 2005-2009 Polo is just a mildly facelifted version (mechanically, they are the same) of what you are looking at, so it will still apply.
