Mazda 3 2015 - Knocking noise coming to stop - Steveieb

My daughter’s Mazda 3 has developed a strange knock once the car has come to a stop with brakes off.

The indie can’t find a cause and as it’s intermittent she has been told to wait until it gets worse.

Perhaps the Mazda owners have experienced this and can offer a cause please ?

I forgot to mention the noise comes from the front of the car and I suspect brake related or suspension ?

Is it a single knock ? Anything to do with steering, i.e. direction of wheels ?

Sorry - I see it happens when stationary :-( Shock absorber 'recovering' after compression ?

Thanks Andrew.

Its been back to the workshop twice and they can’t find the source of the noise but they say the car is ok to use .
