Providing it ticks all the MOT boxes it will pass.

And how could a fuel pump constitute an MOT failure, the only reason I can think off would be a leak and that would be very noticeable because of a fuel smell and poor MPG.

My MOT is due in two weeks, but the dealer is currently low on stock of the recall item, which might be the fuel pump.

Will the car still pass the MOT despite the recall issue, or will I need to wait until the parts are available?

Not sure it is possible to answer that without knowing what the "recall item" is.

But if it is the fuel pump, and assuming the car is working as normal at the moment, not sure how or why it could fail the MOT when all it does is provide fuel to the engine?. If the recall item has something to do with the combustion process or the exhaust system then presuambly it could fail on emissions.
