It strikes me that anything goes now. Every possible colour of light on the front of lorries and now some cars. The authorities didn't clamp down on these soon enough and now it is too late. So easily policed!
It is only easily Policed if there is enough Police to do so, but there isn't. And lets face it, in the grand scheme of things, it isn't anywhere near the top of the list of offences to be concerned about, even just motoring ones.
Dont really see why its "too late". If a law/reg remains in force, it could presumably be enforced at any time.
Re the lack of police, I'd assume this kind of thing could be enforced semi-automatically via CCTV/speed camera stylee remote sensing, plod participation free, so the offender just gets a picture of their illegal lights through the post along with a fine.
Could be I suppose that the law does not permit that kind of surveillance state bIg brotherly stuff, but seems fairly unlikely in The Yook.
