EX model - Honda CRV - michaelkumar

I found two exactly the same cars on autotrader

Honda CRV 2.0 h i-mmd EX SUV 5dr petrol hybrid eCVT AWD Euro 6

exact one was from 2021 and the other was from 2022

When I checked the gov.uk for tax, the 2021 seems to be £190 and the 2022 is £590

Why is this, the two cars are exactly the same?

Younger one was probably over £40k so it has a 'luxury' VED surcharge for 5 years.

EX model - Honda CRV - Halmerend

The CRV has been around the threshold for luxury road tax for several years. Many go for the lower spec model at new to fall just below this threshold. Unfortunately the new CRV blows it out of the water. I don’t think you can get one below £40k now.

EX model - Honda CRV - Falkirk Bairn

I have a 2023 CRV EX - almost £600 RFL.

I was hoping to buy the 4WD SR which was a list price of under £40K but there were no low mileage 4WD ones around mid 2023

EX is same car as 4WD version of SR

Additions to SR spec

EX has electric sunroof, Heated steering wheel, Head up Display, hands free tailgate, heated front & rear seats.

I use the Heated Steering Wheel all winter- the rest very very odd occasion.
