I've mentioned how useful I've found enema syringes for brake flushing, and how useful other syringes can be for things like cleaning carburretors, though syringes seem to be quite hard to get hold of in The Yook..

If you've got one, try skooshing the brush head on your electric toothbrush out with a hypodermic pressure jet along its drve shaft axis

I think you might be impressed with what comes out. I assume its a bacterial and/or fungal biofilm.

Keeps coming

Eeuuw!

I suppose if you had one of those water pick things for your teeth that might work on the brush head too.

The best place to get them is the Emergency Dept of your local hospital. Just ask for a FIT pack. When I worked at the hospital we handed out lots of them. You would be amazed how many people clean their toothbrushes on a Friday night.

I've seen turkey baster 'syringes' being used to suck out hydraulic power steering fluid from the reservoir (e.g. on Scotty Kilmer's YT video). 'Proper' syringes probably are better as they likely hold more fluid.

I used a hand pump (obtained from the local indie motor parts / equipment store,m sadly now closed [retirement]) to do this to clean out / replace my car's PS fluid.

Lots of useful YT videos out there finding useful secondary uses for everyday items, and some not so everyday ones!
