Anyone else watched it?

MK1 Capri, Triumph Stag and a Lancia Monte Carlo. Surprising which one ended the trip without breaking down.

Stunning scenery and photography (as usual).

An enjoyable end without the usual tomfoolery.

Yes

Stunning scenery and photography (as usual).

The thing that stunned me was the unhealthy size of JC's corporation.

I’ll agree - the photography is superb. The Grand Tour specials have all screamed ‘big budget’ (maybe with the exception of the Covid-era one in Scotland). The music has always been exceptional.
Yes, they’ve been contrived, but still amusing.
Clarkson’s Farm is continuing the theme of great photography.

So sad that it’s the end of an era.

The bad news when Clarkson threw a punch at Oisin Tynon and got suspended by the BBC turned into good news for the three amigos when they were given the big budgets by Amazon.

One thing that has been overlooked is the influence of Andy Willman throughout the series both with the BBC and Amazon including Clarkson s Farm.

For Repton School to turn out and expel talent like Clarkson and Adrian Newey speaks loads.

Just started watching it and about 10 minutes in Clarkson makes reference to the 'Chequered Flag' car showroom on the Great West Road which by then was the Chiswick High Road in Gunnersbury.

I know because also back in the late 80s I lived in one of the flats above it for a couple of months.

Chequered Flag was owned by a chap called Graham Warner, who, as well as selling cars, was involved in racing and rallying.
Childhood memories for me of the Chequered Flag Lancia Stratos’, driven by a roster of top rally drivers.

Me too, it was worth watching it.

The only problem with Top Gear turning into what it did was that it left a void in the car show world. The two wheeled world still had the motorbike show but as far as I know, there is nothing similar in the four wheeled world any more unless you count the occasional series of 5th Gear Recharged.

5th gear recharged is as it says focussed on EVs which are of little interest to the typical Clarkson May and Hammond audiences and me included.

Shame as the presenters are top class !

‘ are of little interest to the typical Clarkson May and Hammond audiences and me included.’

For someone with no interest in EV’s, you post enough negative EV content on here….

Each to his own opinion, I can not watch Vicki (look at me aren't I wonderful?) Butler Henderson.

I'd rather look at the steam loco with the surname 'Butler Henderson' which is preserved at Barrow Hill steam centre.
