The car registered an amber warning ‘ engine/transmission’ book says take to garage. Error msgs read ‘DPF’ failure.
warranty claim with XXX company - claim refused as DPF had deteriorated they say. They asked for all error msgs first, then wanted the DPF stripped out and photos sent.
garage say DPF a not a consumable like brake pads , clutch etc.
Garage say this is a common failure.
so now my car is in bits the cost to fix in excess of £2,200, the car has just done 600mls at times on 64mpg without error or errors.
absolutely livid and now in the XXX companies complaints system.
does the DPF fail on Jaguar vehicles? Where can I get a statement on its reliability?
Should I approach Jaguar technical people, will I get an answer?
