Peugeot 406 HDI 2.0 90 Estate 2003 - Sourcing Peugeot 406 Radiator fan - 406fix

My radiator fan is on the way out, screaming like a damned soul as I drive down the high street. It certainly turns heads, just not in a good way.

All the replacements I have seen on Ebay etc. (e.g. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335461670668) seem to be for different versions of the car, where the fan controls are elsewhere in the engine, and the fan itself only has a 2 pin connector.

The post I found that schematic on notes that it was used "from RPO 9336 until the end of production", but I can't find any sites that have parts diagrams for specific generations.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can source a new (or at least working) fan?

Alternatively, do you think it would be possible to wire up on of the 2 pin fans in such a way that the car would be happy?

The second photo of the 5 pin fan doesn’t display. I’m sure a 2 pin fan motor could be adapted to work with some modifications to the wiring .

I’ve seen a lot of fan motors in my lifetime, but I’ve never seen one like this . Must be the last model series for the 406 model . Have you tried the Peugeot forums ? Think you’ll struggle to fit anything else without a lot of modification.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I was looking for a new exhaust it seems to have a unique setup there as well... Maybe it is a collectors item.

I've posted over on the 406 owners forum, maybe someone on there will know what's up.
