Unless you've already visited it before, it might be worth visiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park / Museum whilst you're there.
Thanks Andy, I went last time and it brought back memories of the nightmares I had at 11 years old in the time of the Cuban missile crisis.
Last time I was there I was happy it rained as it hid my tears.
I will lay a wreath this time in memory of my uncle willie who was massacred on the "lisbon Maru" slave ship taking them from Singapore to Japan when it was torpedoed and the prisoners were trying to get out of the cargo hold of the sinking ship.
It's a very moving story. and and the Royal Scots boys are remembered in the Roll of Honour in Edinburgh Castle
Will go to see a Baseball game Hiroshima Carp with a japanese friend, and 2 Kagura shows at the cultural centre near the Peace park. and a classical music Concert while in Hiroshima.
And a bit of SKI ing.. spending kids inheritance, They're better off than me....
