Absolutely! If well maintained, another 50,000 miles should be easily expected. But clutch failure so soon suggests, ahem, a mechanically unsympathetic driving style.

An experienced competent driver should get over 100,000 miles out of a clutch. (Our old family car, a 1983 Passat GL5 estate, was traded in at 192,000 miles with its original clutch - although it did keep snapping its clutch cable every 35-40,000 miles - thanks to it having to adapt to the UK right hand drive position).
