Toyota Yaris - Ceramic Coating - Georgie1607

Hi there. I bought a new Toyota Yaris Design in April 2024. Do you know if it is worth having it professionally ceramic coated? I was going to get it professionally polished once a year anyway. I don't know if it is worth the cost and how long it lasts for. Thanks.

Before you splash out on that, suggest you get a spray bottle of Car Plan No1 Super Gloss (about a tenner from Amazon..edit £6.49) and give the car a twenty minute sparing spray on wipe off jobbie and marvel at the dirt and water repellent finish, which lasts roughly half a year.

I was sceptical but a chap on the Landcruiser forum recommended this stuff which he uses to protect his vehicle in sunny Cyprus, call me a devotee.

Dare say there's other makes of similar products available now, whether they are better or better value i don't know.

It seems many don't know that polish is an abrasive and wax a coating. I gave mine a good clean (you can clay-bar if you want), polish and wax some years ago and the water still beads, although it'd probaly benefit from doing the wheels again before Winter. The brake dust doesn't wash off as easily.
