Renault Clio - Boot opens on its own - malct

My Clio is a 2017 plate and my wife told me one day that the boot was opened on its own, I thought that she hadn't closed it properly. Yesterday it happened to me, Noticed the door opened light and the boot was open.

I have been checking online and states that it could be moisture in the switch / Bare wires.

I can buy a new Tailgate release switch on Ebay for £10 but thought that i would see if anyone else has had the same issue and to share how they fixed the issue

Likely to be the button switch has damp in it . Just changed one on my friends Megane.
