Sorry to bring an old thread back to life, but wanted to add my 2 cents of ownership of a Scala for a few weeks. We bought a brand new one (basically because the 0% PCP worked out quite nicely for where we were at). It was the 1.5 petrol SE-L as it was the only one in the dealership. Would have liked the 1.0L, and it would have been a better value deal, but hey ho, at least the car has plenty of poke. We are a family of five and we find that the space is brilliant. We can all comfortably go out together on day trips with plenty of space in the boot for gear. The kids in the back all report it is more comfortable and they have more useable space than our outgoing Qashqai. The engine has plenty of power and we are pushing an average of around 48mpg.
I recently bought a used Mazda 6 for the longer trips and UK holidays (as well as to be a general second car), but I'd say the Scala would cope with most of our family life.
It has far too much snazzy tech for my liking, but I guess that is par for the course with a 2023 registered car! We like it, and we really hope to keep it going until the government finally decide they want petrol cars off the road!
Is it a plush as a fancy Golf? Maybe not. Is it a great car for family life. Definitely.
