Hi, I'm going to make a birthday poster for my cousin. I can't find a suitable picture in good resolution. Maybe someone can suggest a resource other than Adobe stock etc. I will be very grateful.

Shutterstock would be one suggestion.

If you find a hi-definition picture you like!

Where do you intend to print the poster in hi-definition?

Can be done on home printer if you have a good printer and software!

It depends upon how large the poster is to be. An A3 size print isn't that large, and many posters are far bigger. Most home printers can only print up to A4 size.

I agree that if the OP only needs an A4 sized poster, then there's really no difference between printing it and a reasonable quality photo / image, assuming they have access to a reasonable colour home printer.

I would say that if the OP's home printer is a colour one and has not had any new ink / toner cartridges since it was bought, then beware, as most home printers (deliberately) come with short-filled ink cartridges to make the new price seem reasonable.

It's also designed so the manufacturers to make all those sweet, sweet profits from selling the ink replacement cartdriges and high prices, often more than the printer itself.

With some new printers, you're lucky if the colour cartridges last more than a few full A4 colour prints. Even more so if it has a 'combined' colour (magenta / cyan / yellow) cartridge, and/or if it's rarely used, where they can dry out and cannot be salvaged by a 'clean' cycle initiated via the onboard software.

Creating a birthday poster for your cousin is a fantastic idea! If you're on the hunt for high-resolution images without breaking the bank, I'd recommend trying out the resource. It's an excellent source for free greeting wallpapers tailored specifically for cousins, making your poster extra special. Best of all, it won't cost you a dime! Good luck.

I'm going to be uncharitable and suggest the OP and one reply are spam.

I bet the OP will not contribute again, unless in a similar vein.
