I need advice please on which car should buy, I need a smallish car which has to be Automatic because I’m partially disabled and has to have satnav, rear and back parking sensors, good drivers seat because I suffer with my back, and good mpg as well. Hope you can help me.

And what's it for, i.e. how many people, how often is it used, how far will it be driven per annum, what's the average journey length?

I’m looking for a 4-5 seater, it will be used every day for work in the city and my sports I play. Looking to do 8,000 miles per year. My journeys won’t be more than 20-30 miles per day

Still need to know how much you can spend though!

And, give the use, if you have off-street parking...

Re the seat, you are just going to have to try that for yourself. Everyone is different, so what one person considers a very comfortable and supportive seat, you may not.

Also, you specifically mentioned the car would be used to take you to the sports you play. Is this because you need to carry something large and/or odd shaped with you?.

If not, then I'd be looking at a Toyota Yaris hybrid. £25k is enough to get into a brand new one with a few grand left over.

If the Yaris too small, then a nearly new Toyota Corolla or C-HR

Fiat 500, probably the most comfortable little car I've ever sat in.

Not as an auto though. Unless electric it uses a dim witted single clutch automated manual.

Automatic... no journeys more than 20 - 30 miles...

Sounds like a case for electric (EV)!

It does, which is why I was asking about parking. From SLO's experience, it sounds like a second hand Leaf would be ideal.

We paid £13,600 for a 3yr old Nissan Leaf EV recently. If you have off street parking and/or access to street charging points (many of which are free) then it otherwise fits your requirements. Just don’t overpay for it.
