The advice here is pretty good, but it's not guaranteed.
So why not put a special disclaimer on JohnF's special brand of nonsense?
Surely its irresponsible to allow such dangerous advice to be on this (or any) forum.
Avant knew this, why don't the current moderators appreciate the same?
If you look on the internet, you will find "proof" of pretty much anything, including that the Earth is flat. We can't really account for who or what anyone else chooses to believe.
Most posts prior to John F's have been pretty clearly of the opinion that the tyre should not have been repaired. If you feel it is so dangerous, surely your ire should be directed at the tyre place who effected the repair?. Personally, I don't feel there is much danger unless the OP either drives flat out all the time, leaves the repaired tyre on the front, or both. If the repaired tyre (and the other front) are swapped to the back, and the OP drives sensibly, I don't see there being much risk*.
Also bear in mind the OP has hinted that money is very tight (as it is for many at the moment). but will be getting a pair of new tyres as soon as funds allow.
*Many years ago I took a Saab 9000 turbo for fuel and gave it a quick blast along the dual carriageway to the next roundabout and back to the garage (maybe two miles in total). Just before turning back into the garage, someone I knew on a motorbike was gesticulating at the back of the car. Turned out the rear tyre was flat, never noticed from behind the wheel..........!
