SEAT Ateca - Stuck glove box - Michael Maddison

Right then somehow the other half has managed to get my glove box stuck shut, been trying to free it using everything from brute force, thin pallet knives and the power of prayer to get it open anyone know if I can just remove the door to sort it out then replace it? Or will I need to dismantle the whole car to do so?

Remove the plastic panel at the end of the dash, by passenger door . This may give you a better view of the latch . Also may be an idea to release the screws at the hinge points , bottom of glove box. If you damage the lid , it’s not available as a separate part , so care needed .

I've just had a look on my Karoq and I suspect the tricky bit is that there are two latches. One is just down and to the left of the button, the other is at the same height on the far left hand side. You need two pallet knives.
