It appears Mazda offers 6 years warranty in Ireland.

But it is still paltry 3 years in UK.
Surprise, surprise! They offer 5 years (not sure if that's also 100,000 km [same as our 60,000 miles within reason] or unlimited) Down Under, according to John Cadogan, if I recall.
I've said it before, but unless and until Mazda feels able to offer long / comprehensive warranties across their range of cars, then I think it's pretty pointless them trying to go upmarket as they've done with their current range.
To compete with Hyundai/KIA on the one hand (who've usurped their value-for money position in many areas of the world) and/or Toyota/Lexus, never mind the 'posh' Euro makes, they have to show the world they make highly engineered, reliable cars as well as ones with an upmarket interior and good looks. Plus they need to offer cars (at least here, where they don't really at the present time) with more oomph.
