Had a Mazda 5 2013 for nearly 6 years. Bought with 16,000 miles now has just reached 50,000. I’m in two minds whether now is a good time to part exchange. Though it’s been a good runner and well service, it could be a good time to sell. I want to be prepared, due to wear and tear age etc.

I have two kids aged 7 and 8, and I think I could get about £6000.

Look forward to reading some useful advice.

I would keep it, continue to have it serviced and it should do a lot more miles. Possibly keep an eye out for rust. If you just fancy a change then that's a different matter.

Agreed. Now is a terrible time to buy a replacement.

Thank you, think I will keep it.

How much would you have to pay to replace it?

Assuming it is a petrol engined version, no warning flags popping up on MOT (underbody rust for example), and it drives as it should, keep it.

If it is looked after, there is no reason at all it won't provide sterling service for another decade. And 50k miles?, that is barely run in!.
