I found a car that needs engine and I have the engine but ...this has has been standing for 2years at least is it a good idea to buy it

looking to find a good car to put it on but all im getting they have been standing for over a year at least i found another that has been standing a year .... is it wise to get one that has been out of action

What's likely to suffer from being out of action presumably outside? Brakes are a possibility, corrosion on disks, calipers a bit sticky. Battery will be duff but neither of these things are difficult or expensive to sort out.

Depends how you define a "good" car. You want a non-runner to put your engine in and you will have to accept a non-runner will probably have issues in addition to any engine issues.

Xileno had listed the obvious ones but consider that the cat may have been damaged when the engine failed.
