If you get stuck for a cylinder head give this company a call, they are engineers and have a good reputation. A remanufactured head will be cheaper than a genuine Ford item.
I dealt with them years ago when I had a engine shop and they know what they are doing.

And get whoever assembles the engine to slather the injectors with either copper grease or Never-Seez - they will always come out after that.
If we had a maintenance contract on engines we would remove injectors at the first service and do this - well worth it for peace of mind.
But today's computer whizz kids won't like doing that - they might get their hands dirty. then they'll get the keyboard of their laptop mucky!
Hi, thanks so much fotr taking time to reply.
I've got some success.I hope Found a guy who specialise in drilling out injectors in these cases. All going well, It's gonna cost a few hundred quid and then I'd have to replace one injector which is a long long way from engine replacement. Really nice fellow from talking to on phone and seems very confident he can do the job. I'm not going to mention the ford garage in question but I'm absolutely disgusted with their behaviour. I'm Miles and miles from home with my dog and it's been a horrible week sitting in car parks going slowly insane.. All they want to do is take my money. 7,200 is a lot of money.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. Thanks for all the replies and I will update with news if hopefully it is a success and other people can benefit from my experience.
