Volkswagen Arteon - Strange rattle from engine - Mikeym-lon

Hello. recently bought a 2018 Volkswagen Arteon

with the 1.5 TSI act engine ( 4 -2 cylinder mode)

The engine has an odd rattle at idle when reached

operating temperature. I would probably need to send a video

of this to explain further

It is currently with the repair center who sold me the vehicle adviced they cannot find a fault. Volkswagen say there is fault

I have video evidence there is a fault which seems

Has anyone had similar rattles with this engine whether Arteon of other?

The direct injection setup with the VAG 1.4/1.5 tsi can be rather rattily - this could be normal. The start cycle is strange re noises as well, my 1.4 has a real whir on first start-up especially in warm weather which an air wash system to light up the catalyst quickly.

Can you hear it inside the car with the doors/bonnet shut? After a minute or so my Superb is silent at tick-over inside the car but if you lift the bonnet you can hear the direct injection ticking away if you lift the bonnet and listen from the front of the car.

The ACT does have a complex mechanism on the camshaft that does the 4->2 cylinder shutdown so this could also be a suspect?
